Research Projects
Theses projects are mainly focused on two subjects. The first one concerns some industrial enzymes; the second is focused on the secondary metabolites biologically active.
Program 1 : additives for animal feed
Project 1: Enzymes used in animal feed:
Study of phytases and β-glucanases enzymes and their production for the animal feed. These enzymes are implied in decreasing the antinutritional effects of phytates and glucanes.
Project 2: Microorganisms for animal feed:
Investigation of the probiotic potential of bacterial strains as well as the application of the most interesting strains as additives in animal feed.
Program 2: enzymes and microorganisms for industrial applications
Project 3: Enzymes for detergency, textile and leathers industries:
Study and production of proteases/kératinases and alkaline amylases, in detergent textile and leather industry.
Program 3: Enzymes for the food-processing industry
Project 4:Enzymes for baking:
Study and production of the α-amylases as additives for baking and as anti-staling.
Project 5: Enzymes for sweeteners production:
Screening, study, improvement and application of glucose and L-arabinose isomerases involved in the production of low caloric sweeteners recommended for the diabetes and the obese persons.
Program 4: Bioactive Molecules
Project 6: Purification and characterization of useful antifungal and antibacterial activities for the preservation of foods or against pathogenic and phytopathogenic agents:
Purification and characterization of bioactive molecules from Streptomyces and lactic bacteria as well as the production of interesting biomolecules for industrial, agricultural and food-processing applications.
Programme 5 : Bioactives molecules, bioprocess and bio-puce for pharmaceutical and agro-alimentary applications
Project 7: Processes for the screening of and production of actives molecules of pharmaceutical interest
The objective is to develop processes based on cell culture for in vivo screening of inhibitors of the tyrosine kinase activity and to develop antibodies actives against several target proteins.
Project 8: Design and development of DNA chips in pharmaceutical and agrifood fields.
The aim of the project is to use DNA chip technologies for the study of genome expression and for the design of DNA chip for the multiplex detection of mutations ad genome variations with applications in disgnosis of pathologies and pathogens in food products.
